51.91 percent population of Bihar is poor , followed 42.16 percent in jharkhand, 37.79 percent in Uttar Pradesh while madhya pardesh (36.65) percent has been placed 4th in the index. Meghalaya is at fifth place with (32.67) percent.
Kerla( 0.71) percent , Goa (3.67) percent, sikkim ( 3.82) percent , Tamilnadu (3.89) percent and Punjab ( 5.59) percent have the lowest poverty across the india
