Coaching institutes in Leh, Ladakh, can function with a maximum capacity of 20 students or 25% of the seating
Tuition and coaching institutes in Leh district Ladakh have been allowed to reopen and function with a maximum of 20 students or 25% of the seating capacity, whichever is less. The head of the institutions is directed to ensure adherence to COVID-appropriate behaviour following the safety protocols.
According to an order released by the administration of the union territory of Ladakh , only asymptomatic students and teachers will be allowed to attend the classes. The order also directs the heads of such institutions that reopens to take written consent from the parents or guardians of the students and submit it to the concerned authority.
“Students, teachers and staff who belong to the 15-18 age group should mandatorily be in possession of authentic vaccination certificates,” said the order.
The institutions are also instructed to facilitate frequent cleaning and disinfection inside the institute, and also provide supplies like sanitisers, masks and soap. Students and staff should both maintain social distancing. “At Least 6 feet distance has to be maintained between students in classes at all times,” it said.
Staff and students are prevented from containment zones from attending the classes until the containment zone gets denotified. The order further says that surveillance will be carried out in institutions, and any violation of the instructions in the order will attract legal action.
